We are up on Friday against Providence. UNC likely if we win that game ... ugh.

Open up as a 4.5 favorite.

If we beat providence that unc game will be something.

Can't believe ou got in and osu did not. They wanted true young in.

Tu got way too high of a seed.

Yup, and UH got too low of one.

But, we get a chance to play a blue blood in Rd. 2, hopefully.

Much more worried about Round One, than looking forward to Round Two.

If our guards and perimeter players have a good day, then it ought to be decent outcome vs Providence.

Who knows perhaps, they all show up and gain a little confidence...... It could be a good run in Charlotte.

That's the outcome I'm hoping for. We've had some Jekyl and Hyde performances. Lord knows we're capable of playing with anyone when we're on.

Gig'em Ags BTHO Providence!

My understanding is they are well coached and experienced. Not a good matchup. Let us see what happens.

I think it's safe to assume that there is a reason they were invited to the tournament and likely a reason they are seeded lower than our Aggies. No cream puffs in the tourney for us. Pretty sure nobody is taking Providence lightly.

I haven’t seen an “expert” pick us to beat Providence in any of the brackets filled out on various sites.

'Dad,

I'm gonna be honest here: even my brightest Pollyanna spirit is a bit tarnished with this team. I'm rooting like all get out for the win against Providence, and IF the team that has shown its real potential in spurts throughout the season shows up, then it will be a sound victory for sure. BUT... the gaffs are hard to overlook. Anxious Rolling Eyes

Which "team" shows up? How badly do these Aggies want it? Those are the most pressing questions I can think of right now.

Well, if 20% of the lineup is not ready to play a particular game in basketball or football, then I would say that the football team probably has the better chance to win.

Woe is us, we have already lost!

Anyway, the CONFOUND... Gig 'em

That tells us which team the odds makers think will show up.

BTHO providence.

That sounds a bit evil.

We are picked to lose on the Sports Illustrated, CBS sports and Bleacher Report "expert" brackets. I think we win the first round game.

We'll only go as far as our Guards take us...that is true. It's been the case for us the entire year.

If Wilson had not gotten injured and Caldwell had not had such an affinity for the whacky weed, I think we could have gone pretty far into this tournament.

We still can. However, Starks, Gilder, Chandler and Flagg will have to play lights out. Not just on O but on D too. Our guards can't play like they did on the last play against Bama. If they do, we might not even get out of the first round.
