Good for Cullen. Quite honestly, I don’t care where he plays on the field, just that he gets legit playing time. Cullen has always been a fiery and emotional player; now, he gets to magnify that character trait with senior leadership. For me, he is the Spencer Neely of 2018.

Yeah, we have a new coaching staff with a consummate curricula vitae — and trust me, that is a very good thing in Aggieland! — but we also need players in the locker room, players in the weight room, players in the off-season who will take that new coaching leadership and translate it with piercing clarity to every single player on the team. Including the water boys. More than anyone else on the team, Cullen Gillaspia has that responsibility; what’s more, I believe he will be totally fearless in exerting that legitimate authority. He already has the intimate respect of the Special Teams room; he is King Kong in there, and rightly so. Yet, he also has the respect of the Defense, especially the linebackers, for his workman-like approach to practice. Now, the Offense gets to observe what it is like in the Day & Life Of Cullen Gillaspia. My bet is that they’re gonna be gassed!

This is a good thing, Aggies… a Very good thing! Cool Applause Gig 'em

Gig’em, Cullen! Gig 'em

Gosh, a common sense decision by the coaching staff.

You do wonder how with our struggles over the years at LB, we get a team leader who is a walk on...warms my heart.

The woods of Texas are full of Cullen Gillaspia's. You have to find them and with a team full of them you can go to war anywhere and not fear the outcome.

We've seen the havoc and mayhem Cullen can bring to the field for two years now...how many players can you name who blocked a punt against BAMA? It will be fun to watch him get to hit people on every play...

Awesome.

The soft era of Aggie football is over.

Cullen will be great in this role.... and will likely score a few TDs on goal-line situations on play-action passes.

This is a good move to get his FIRE on the Field for more plays. Would not be surprised to see a Huddle on 3rd and REAL short just to get the Goons Fired up too!!

Wonder if he will still have in the tank whats needed for the 12th Man Role. Or does he pass that ball off to another?
