I can't get my mind to believe that this is true. Is there really any way it's even possible that so many reporters covered this story without actually checking any facts? I have to believe there is something that deadspin is missing.

Look at the comments at the bottom of the article. Someone saying that the last name Kehoe (or whatever it was) is her 'professional' name. Her last name is actually Woj>>>> something or another...Could be the reason nothing appears.
The lady that says her picture has been taken from her facebook pages would then be a question-mark...
Who knows how this will end up. Teo is laying low...might be because he laid low in the title game...
If true...a BIG IF...
...would the Heisman committee take away his 2nd place finish?
Would the other awards be taken away...?

It seems undisputed that he Teo said he met "her" once so...
(1) He met a girl, and then failed to notice when the pictures posted online were different then the girl he met
(2) He lied about meeting her for some reason and he really was duped by a completely online relationship, which he later discussed extensively with national media.
(3) He knew the relationship was fake and participated in the deception.
I know which one I think is most likely.

FYI.. this comment was a joke. That's a Seinfeld reference. The line is about a guy who attended Columbia named Ray Thomas. George couldn't find him in the registrar. He said he was registered under his full name Ray Thomas Wochinski and his professional name is Ray Thomas. |

| I agree with many that say this is the perfect example of why off field issues should rarely be considered when it comes to the Heisman. Never have the FULL story either way. |

I just think it's hilarious that all of the media outlets got duped. They didn't check their story, they just ran with it cause it sounded good and now with egg on their faces they'll just brush it off and say oops, sorry.  |
