My heart nearly stopped when I turned on the TV a bit late and saw Miami hit a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 1st. I thought, "oh no, here we go again..."

... until I saw the "Rain Delay" tag in the corner of the screen. Whew!

Well, it worked last night, so let's try it again...

Our offense looks so anemic compared to Miami. Just awful.

Rain delay... it's pouring. Who benefits if we can't play again until tomorrow? Loux might be able to put in more than just a couple innings of work, but Miami might get some use out of their ace, too. Loux threw Friday, theirs on Saturday.

So far so good...

Rain delay before the game...(just like yesterday)

We spotted them three...(just like yesterday)

We started to come back--but sooner tonight!...(just like yesterday)

We are going into a mid-game rain delay...(just like yesterday)

For those not watching...no, I am not reporting on the replay of yesterday's game...but so far it is almost identical in terms of sequence of events...at least until the rains started again...

...hopefully the Aggies can make the outcome the same as well...(of course, just like yesterday!) Gig 'em

Game is suspended, to resume at noon tomorrow our time.

Maybe Loux will be ready to go on three days rest?

The same applies to Miami. Both pitching staffs get additional rest.

Except they held their ace back from game one so he could face us in game two.

So he's on two days rest vs. three for Loux.

Whicn means he could probably go a few innings if necessary.

Of course, maybe more than that -- still as far as starters go, I think the delay is slightly better for us. I also like the extra rest for our closer.

And, yes, I understand it applies to both teams. So no need to rebuff me for my slightly optimistic comment.

How many innings and at what % of full strength is, I think, the question of the day for the aces of both teams. I'd be surprised if we see Stripling on the mound again today. I think he can pitch just fine, but I think he's just once-bit in this series, and we just don't have time to wait for him to get his confidence back.

It's probably too much to hope for to see Stilson again, but I'm pretty sure we could throw Loux, Minks, and Fleece. That ought to be enough to get us through 7 innings. We've got no reason to save arms, anyway.

Loux for two, maybe three, then Ehlert, Stilson and Wacha. Fleece and Minks if necessary.

You've got a better handle on pitchers' recovery time than me if you're right. Elhert, Stilson, and Wacha all had lengthy outings on Sunday. I don't know if I'd expect a lot from any of them.

Minks has a good first inning. Miami changes pitching... here comes their ace.

Did anybody catch Hernandez's pitch count on Saturday? I missed it. Whatever it was, he threw 6 innings and only gave up 3 hits, so it can't have been too high.
