Head and shoulders above all of the rest: KERN TIPS! He was an Aggie and the best football announcer for the Humble Oil Co. SWC football broadcasts. He was on the air from the late 1940's to probably the early 1960's. His broadcast style led to his becoming the #1 announcer for Humble. None have ever come close. For those of you who never had the privelege of hearing one of his broadcasts, you missed something special. If you ever get a chance to hear a recording one of his broadcasts, don't miss it.
Mike Mistovich was indeed the best basketball announcer that we've had. He loved A&M and was a "homer" but his broadcasts were great.

I cannot remember his name, but whoever was the PA announcer at Aggie baseball games back in the 80s was the best there ever was.

Who was the announcer at the football games in the mid 70's with that unique gravelly voice?

Atleast that's the way I remember his voice.
